STG Thumb is an application for the creation of image thumbnails in high quality, from a collection of pictures. It creates an HTML page from a list of images or can make use of special effects to build a slide show. Users can select individual files or entire directories, exclude files, set the size, and choose other options.
The size and quality of the thumbnail images can be customized. Also the program can be set to automatically add a prefix to the newly created files and use effects to rotate the resulting images or apply different filters like blur, sharpen, and others.
STG Thumb, in this version, has integrated the making of thumbnails from animated GIF images. Other features include customizable HTML page to embed the slideshows. Also the program has a handy function that can batch resize a group of images.
Furthermore, STG Thumb can convert images from JPG, TIF, PNG, BMP, etc. to JPG and is capable of making thumbnails from AVI and MPEG taking only in consideration the first frame.
